Guard Support provided a grant on April 6, 2011 to cover the cost to ship 1,850 boxes of donated Girl Scout cookies to deployed Massachusetts National Guard troops serving in Afghanistan and at Camp Atterbury, Indiana.

On March 23, 2011 at the 7th Annual "Community Quarterback" award ceremony featuring quarterback Doug Flutie, Eastern Bank recognized Guard Support for outstanding community leadership.

Danversbank’s Annual Golf Classic Assists National Guard Members and Families Throughout Massachusetts

The Massachusetts Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), an agency of the Department of Defense, awarded Guard Support with the prestigious "Seven Seals Award".

BOSTON, July 8, 2010– In a ceremony at the office of United States Senator Scott Brown, Guard Support of Massachusetts presented its first low-interest business loan to a Worcester company founded by a member of the Massachusetts National Guard.

Danversbank has chosen Guard Support of Massachusetts as the beneficiary of their annual Charity Golf Classic.

The Massachusetts Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), an agency of the Department of Defense, awarded Guard Support of Massachusetts with the Massachusetts Committee Award for Outstanding Performance. Nate Dalton, Guard Support's founder accepted the award at the Mass. ESGR Annual Awards Dinner held at Hanscom Air Force Base on May 15, 2010.

Nate Dalton wins SBA award for advocacy on behalf of veterans. The Veteran Small Business Champion Award is presented annually to an individual who has fulfilled a commitment to advancing small business opportunities for U.S. Armed Forces veterans.

Guard Support has awarded four Family Readiness Grants to National Guard units from Brockton, Dorchester, Milford and Pittsfield. The grants will aid each unit's Family Readiness Group, a support network for families of the deployed Massachusetts National Guard troops.

In the summer of 2007, Goodwin Procter alumnus, Nate Dalton learned that his neighbor, Michael Finer, a Lieutenant Colonel in the Massachusetts National Guard, was going to Iraq for a year. In talking with Michael, Nate learned about the various challenges that soldiers face to ensure that their homes and businesses run smoothly while their away. As federal and state infrastructure seemed insufficient, Nate quickly realized that additional resources were needed to address these problems. As a result, Nate's idea for Guard Support was born.

The Boston Entrepreneurs' Network (Boston ENET) has announced its contributions to the Guard Support of Massachusetts organization. The ENET contributions will help Guard Support in its efforts to provide funds for members of the Massachusetts National Guard seeking to launch companies or expand their existing businesses.
