Guard Support's founder, Nate Dalton wins SBA Award

Nate Dalton wins SBA award for advocacy on behalf of veterans. The Veteran Small Business Champion Award is presented annually to an individual who has fulfilled a commitment to advancing small business opportunities for U.S. Armed Forces veterans.

Nathaniel Dalton of Swampscott, founder, president and chairman of the board of directors of Guard Support of Massachusetts, has been named the U.S. Small Business Administration’s 2010 Massachusetts Veteran Small Business Champion, according to an announcement by Robert H. Nelson, Massachusetts SBA district director.

The Veteran Small Business Champion Award is presented annually to an individual who has fulfilled a commitment to advancing small business opportunities for U.S. Armed Forces veterans. Sherry Handel, executive director, Guard Support of Massachusetts, nominated Dalton for this award.

Dalton founded Guard Support of Massachusetts in 2007 to help the families of the men and women serving in the Massachusetts National Guard.
