Guard Support of Massachusetts is pleased to announce the appointment of Sherry Handel as Executive Director. Sherry is Guard Support’s first Executive Director, as well its first employee.

“We are pleased to have Sherry fill the leadership role of Executive Director for Guard Support of Massachusetts,” stated Nathaniel Dalton, Founder and member of the Board of Directors. “ Sherry’s entrepreneurial mind-set and non-profit management experience, as well as her passion for veterans’ affairs, made her the right choice to provide the dynamic start-up management and execution that our organization needs at this early stage of its development.”

“I am honored to have been selected for this position and I am pleased to have the opportunity to help build and grow the organization. There is tremendous potential to grow Guard Support. I look forward to being part of the future of the organization and bringing more resources to guardsmen, their families and the veterans’ organizations we support,” said Handel.

Sherry served in the U.S. Army Reserves in Worcester, MA and in upstate NY working in personnel and finance from 1987-1995.  She earned a B.S. degree in Business Management from Northeastern University.
